An Area Structure Plan is a planning document specified by the Municipal Government Act of Alberta to guide development within a Municipality. Rocky View County has created an Area Structure Plan for Cochrane North and specified growth areas and land uses. Heartland Meadows is designated as "Cluster Residential and Open Space".
